Computer game giant Nintendo Australia has had a court win against the suppliers of a gadget for pirating games.

Microsoft Sued Over Xbox Live Points
One major problem with Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft’s downloadable game service, is that you must deal in “Microsoft Points,” and they come in increments that usually cost more than the price of a game alone. A lawyer has now filed a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft for this practice.

Hasbro, Atari Tangle over D&D Rights
Dungeons & Dragons owner Hasbro today announced that it has filed suit against longtime gaming partner Atari, alleging that the publisher “may have” struck an unauthorized sublicensing deal with Namco Bandai for Dungeons & Dragons game rights. Currently, there are no announced Atari Dungeons & Dragons projects in which Namco Bandai has any involvement.

No Doubt are taking legal action against the makers of the computer game ‘Band Hero’ for using their likenesses in their new game.
The band had signed a deal with computer game publisher Activision, but have claimed the company did not stick to the agreement.

Visually Impaired Gamer Sues Sony Online
A visually impaired gamer has gone beyond simply requesting accessibility features and is demanding them by way of a lawsuit. Last month, disabled gamer Alexander Stern filed suit against Sony, Sony Online Entertainment, and Sony Computer Entertainment America in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The suit alleges that Sony is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act by failing to implement features to make its games accessible to visually impaired gamers.
