Street Fighter IV Hitting iPhone, iPod Touch

While most of the Street Fighter news these days centers on the April 27 launch of Super Street Fighter IV for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Capcom is preparing one last hurrah for the original Street Fighter IV. The publisher has announced that starting next month, a version of GameSpot’s Best Fighting Game of 2009 will be available for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch systems.

Review: The Inferno

As a top-down action-adventure game for the iPhone and iPod touch, The Inferno is an intriguing title that mixes action gameplay with pattern puzzle solving. Loosely based on Dante’s Divine Comedy, the game has a large number of levels and gorgeous graphics. As you travel through the circles of Hell to save your love from condemnation, you must use your wit and fast action to avoid dangers and save other innocent souls, all the while ignoring the evil trash talking from Death.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 Coming to iPhone, iPod Touch

Japan’s Square Enix has confirmed iPhone versions of two of its most famous role-playing games. Final Fantasy 1 and 2 are currently said to be under development, albeit with uncertain prices and release dates.

Review: TileStorm

Generally, tile-sliding games are pretty difficult (and TileStorm is no different), but the satisfaction that one gets from completing a puzzle is worth the rough path there. TileStorm faithfully delivers this tried-and-true gameplay with some nice, clean 3D visuals, soothing audio, and complete option set.

Review: Aztec Quest

Aztec Quest isn’t the easiest or simplest game and by the time you’re half way through the initial 50 levels you will need to engage your brain but if you’re willing to make the effort you’ll be rewarded with a fun, addictive and taxing app store game.  It’s a new genre of puzzle, unique to the digital age and the digital generation, with endless possibilities.

New from Kristanix Studios is Zamby, an adventure-puzzle game in a vein similar to Adventures of Lolo for the NES. With graphics that look something like a high resolution 8-bit game, Zamby sports a nice retro feel.
